DAVID Systems Powers the Evolution of Cross-Platform Media Management in Broadcasting

At IBC 2010, DAVID Systems is showing the preview of a new production management solution for tri-media collaboration. The new system is designed to easily expand the capabilities of existing installations including those based on DigaSystem, DAVID Systems’ flagship content management system. In addition to the integration of industry-standard tools like Apple’s Final Cut Pro, the new solution provides a service-oriented, scalable and platform-independent framework for tri-media production.

Munich, Germany – August 30, 2010 – DAVID Systems, a leading provider of global broadcast solutions, will present its solutions at IBC 2010, in hall 7, at booth 7.G34, and in Microsoft’s booth in the Topaz Lounge. The new tri-media production system and the integration of 3rd party editing tools is one of DAVID Systems’ demo highlights. This new solution addresses the needs of broadcasters and media houses to reduce complexity and to enable seamless workflows across multiple formats, tools and platforms for tri-media production and multi-channel distribution.

Dear Valued Customer:

We would like to inform you that effective immediately, and in line with Microsoft’s announcement of discontinuation last month, DAVID Systems will no longer support DigaSystem and BCS installations running on any of the following operating systems:

Windows 2000 Professional
Windows 2000 Server
Windows 2000 Advanced Server
Windows 2000 Datacenter Server


This means that DAVID Systems will no longer take any support questions or feature requests for software installed with these operating systems. They can continue to be used but DAVID Support will not address any technical issues anymore.

DAVID Systems will also not guarantee compatibility / interoperability of these operating systems with future versions of DigaSystem Modules.

ANNOVA and DAVID Systems boost interoperability of Radio News Production Systems

At IBC 2010, the two companies will launch a new level of integration of ANNOVA’s OpenMedia Newsroom Computer System (NCS) into the DigaSystem® CMS and On-Air environments, based on the MOS protocol. For Radio stations, this solution improves editorial collaboration in news planning, scheduling, production and playout.

Munich, Germany – August 17, 2010 –The new integration joins together planning and production, and closes the gap between two leading systems in Radio broadcast, simplifying and accelerating workflows from story conception to broadcast and broadband/web distribution. DAVID Systems is setting new standards for Tri-Media Collaboration at IBC 2010

Munich, Germany – July 28, 2010 – From September 10-14, IBC 2010 will unveil new products and technologies for the electronic media and entertainment industry at the RAI in Amsterdam, Netherlands. In order to use the new synchronization task in BUS 3.1 it is required to update / upgrade your existing BCS to the latest version which is part of this release (3.0 / build 231). Because of the overall improvements which were introduced with the latest BCS build, we also recommend updating your BCS if you are not planning to use the new features in BUS 3.1.

The version is available immediately on our FTP software download site.
